Job summary

Coinbase is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join the Wallets, Liquidity & Bridging team. You will design and build backend Go services powering wallet operations, liquidity movements, and cross-chain bridging across custodial and non-custodial flows.

With 5+ years in software engineering, you will help create scalable, reliable systems across Ethereum, Bitcoin, Solana, and more, while improving observability and collaborating with cross-team partners to deliver robust platform services.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with Go.
• Experience building production backend services with reliability and correctness.
• Familiarity with blockchain technologies and cross-chain integrations (Ethereum, Bitcoin, Solana).
• Experience decomposing monoliths into scalable microservices or platform components.
• Strong collaboration across teams and clear communication of trade-offs.
• Responsible use of generative AI to improve workflows with human oversight.

Responsibilities

• Own design and delivery of backend Go services powering wallet operations, liquidity movements, and cross-chain bridging.
• Build and operate distributed systems for transaction lifecycle, signing, broadcasting, and on-chain reconciliation.
• Improve reliability and observability of wallet services, contribute to incident response and post-mortems.
• Collaborate with Trading, Custody, Staking, and other teams to integrate wallet services.
• Drive architecture improvements and decomposition of legacy systems into modular platform services.
• Support engineering quality through code reviews and design feedback.
