Job summary
Coinbase is hiring a Staff Software Engineer for the Wallets, Liquidity & Bridging team. You will own architecture, drive the technical roadmap, and build scalable Go services that orchestrate cross-chain liquidity and on-chain transactions across multiple protocols.
You will partner with Trading, Custody, Staking, and other teams to define integration contracts and ensure reliability, observability, and architectural consistency across Tier-0 systems.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering with deep Go expertise and large-scale distributed systems design.
- Proven ability to architect and operate production backend services with high throughput and reliability.
- Hands-on experience with blockchain technologies, cross-chain bridging, and asset transaction workflows.
Responsibilities
- Own the technical strategy, architecture, and roadmap for wallet, liquidity, and bridging systems.
- Build and evolve Go backend services to orchestrate cross-chain liquidity and transactions.
- Drive SOA improvements by decomposing legacy systems into modular platform services.
- Lead cross-team collaboration to align wallet infrastructure with architectural standards.
- Ensure reliability and observability, incident response, and continuous improvement.
- Mentor engineers and influence technical direction across teams.
