Job summary

Coinbase is hiring for Software Engineers in the Developer Infrastructure group. You will build and operate core developer-infrastructure services—spanning CI, deployment orchestration, and test infrastructure—at Coinbase scale.

You’ll own components end to end, focus on reliability and security, and collaborate across engineering teams to drive platform improvements. We are a remote-first but not remote-only company, with quarterly in-person surges.

Qualifications

• 2+ years building and operating production software with solid fundamentals in distributed systems.
• Proficiency in Go (or ability to ramp quickly) and backend feature delivery.
• Ownership from implementation through production with reliability, security, and observability in mind.
• Clear communication and ability to drive scoped projects with limited guidance.
• Customer-focused mindset; measure success by impact on engineers and teams.
• Experience in developer infrastructure or platform domains like CI/CD, build systems, and release tooling.

Responsibilities

• Build, ship, and operate features of core developer-infrastructure services across CI, build, deployment, and test tooling.
• Contribute to metrics improvements such as build/CI times, deploy speed, and test feedback.
• Own components end-to-end from implementation through testing, rollout, and monitoring; participate in on-call rotations.
• Write high-quality, observable code and ship production-ready features from day one.
• Collaborate with Coinbase engineering teams to translate pain points into platform improvements.
• Contribute to technical design discussions and drive own work items to completion.
• Share knowledge and raise the quality bar through thoughtful code reviews.
