AE Perkins LLC is seeking a seasoned Proposal Writer II to identify, qualify, develop, and submit persuasive, compliant responses to government solicitations, managing the full proposal lifecycle from discovery to post‑submission follow‑up.

The ideal candidate understands SLED procurement, translates complex technical content into clear, evaluator‑focused narratives, and ensures strict adherence to requirements and deadlines. Remote-first with two weeks of in‑person training in Carrollton, TX.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of professional government proposal writing experience; 10 years or more preferred.
• Experience in SLED government opportunities preferred.
• Proven ability to independently write complex RFP responses.
• Experience with proposal automation software and content libraries.
• APMP certification or formal proposal-management training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Source government contracting opportunities and monitor portals and agency websites.
• Write original, persuasive proposals addressing each entity’s objectives and requirements.
• Translate technical, operational, and compliance information into clear, evaluators‑focused responses.
• Ensure responses comply with formatting, page limits, and submission instructions.
• Coordinate content approvals and manage final proposal submission and records.
