Job summary

OpenTable is seeking a Director of Technical Program Management to lead a mature team of TPMs driving execution across multiple product and engineering verticals. The role operates at a strategic level within OpenTable’s engineering organization, balancing senior executive partnerships with mentorship of individual contributors.

You will translate complex business strategies into practical execution plans, design robust operating rhythms, and govern frameworks impacting hundreds of engineers.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of technical program management experience spanning large-scale software development and cross-functional technical programs.
• 5+ years of experience leading engineering or program management teams within high-growth technology environments.
• Demonstrated technical fluency to engage with engineering leaders on software architecture, dependencies, release management.

Responsibilities

• Direct, coach, and elevate a mature group of individual contributor TPMs, fostering an inclusive, high-performing culture.
• Define and embed operating rhythms, delivery mechanisms, planning frameworks, and risk management standards across large technical portfolios.
• Translate executive narratives into actionable program structures, timelines, and measurable outcomes while resolving conflicts with fact-based analysis.
• Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to improve software delivery practices, technical planning, and developer productivity using modern tooling and metrics.
