Job summary

CWILL, a Shopify-focused post-purchase and retention platform, seeks a North America operations and compliance specialist. This remote-first role acts as the local point of contact for North America, coordinating with the China-based team, and ensuring ongoing stability and regulatory compliance across the region.

You will manage day-to-day cloud and data-center operations, handle incident response, implement privacy controls, and support GDPR, SOC2, and US regulations.

Qualifications

• Fluent Mandarin Chinese in listening, speaking, reading and writing.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 3-4 years in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering.
• Strong cloud and container experience (AWS/Azure/GCP, Kubernetes, Docker).
• Experience with IaC, CI/CD, monitoring and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations for cloud resources following established procedures.
• Coordinate cross-timezone incident response with the China-based team.
• Own local data center and cloud resources and ensure compliance.
• Implement privacy controls and data localization requirements.
• Serve as first responder for NA incidents; coordinate with global team.
• Support GDPR, SOC2, and US regulations compliance efforts.
