Job summary

NEOGOV is seeking a Sr. AWS Cloud Engineer to join the team and ensure the SaaS product meets high quality standards. You will design and deploy scalable AWS-based systems, implement IaC with CDK, and collaborate with product owners and engineers to improve velocity and reliability.

The role emphasizes DevOps/SRE practices, disaster recovery, and compliant environments. Remote work from anywhere in the United States is supported, with strong emphasis on security and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
• 7+ years of cloud engineering experience with AWS services.
• Expertise in AWS CDK to define infrastructure using modern languages.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deliver, and maintain features such as IaC and the build/release platform.
• Design and deploy scalable, highly available, secure, and fault-tolerant systems.
• Maintain compliance in a high-performance production environment.
• Write clean, testable code and participate in planning to improve velocity and quality.
• Maintain disaster recovery procedures and perform infrastructure upgrades.
