Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is seeking an experienced backend-focused engineer to lead stablecoin-based money movement features. You will own end-to-end delivery, design scalable systems, and build APIs enabling payments across partners and customers.

You will collaborate with Product, Design, Infra, and Compliance to balance speed, security, and regulatory requirements. Familiarity with AI-powered efficiency and high-quality outputs is expected.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of backend development and operations experience in fintech, payments, or crypto.
• Experience designing distributed systems and APIs.
• Proficiency in Go or Java and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).
• Experience as DRI for technical projects from design to production.
• Experience with blockchain or crypto technologies such as stablecoins or on-chain payments.

Responsibilities

• Own key projects end-to-end as the Directly Responsible Individual, driving stablecoin-based money movement features from system design through production deployment.
• Build backend systems, infrastructure, and internal/external APIs enabling stablecoin-powered payments for partners.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Infrastructure, and Compliance to balance speed, security, and regulatory needs.
• Improve performance, scalability, and reliability of distributed systems.
• Contribute to engineering quality through code reviews and architectural patterns.
