Job summary

Cresta is seeking a Staff full-stack engineer with a backend focus to shape the future of customer engagement. You will design and build scalable backend services and APIs that power our data-driven platform.

You'll collaborate with frontend, data science, and ML teams to deliver end-to-end solutions, optimize performance, ensure security, and contribute to a global, remote-first engineering organization across the US, Canada, and Romania.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Backend Engineer with focus on database design.
• Strong expertise in ClickHouse for real-time analytics.
• Hands-on Elasticsearch experience for indexing large datasets.
• Proficient in Python and Go for backend development.
• Experience with RESTful API design.
• Knowledge of distributed systems and microservices.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain backend services and APIs.
• Build and optimize data storage solutions with Postgres, ClickHouse and Elasticsearch.
• Collaborate with frontend, data scientists, and ML engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Monitor and troubleshoot performance in distributed systems and databases.
• Write clean, maintainable backend code following best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and CI/CD efforts.
• Ensure security, scalability, and reliability of backend services.
• Analyze and improve system architecture focusing on performance and scaling.
