Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Designer (Remote) to prepare detailed CAD drawings for efficient sprinkler placements. The role requires applying NFPA standards, coordinating with construction teams, and validating designs through field checks.

The candidate should have 1–5 years of sprinkler design experience and proficiency in AutoCAD/HydraCAD or equivalent software, with the ability to mentor others and support design estimates for sales.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-5 years of fire sprinkler design experience required.
• Experience with AutoCAD, HydraCAD, Sprinkler Design Software or equivalent sprinkler design software.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and apply NFPA standards for automatic sprinkler system design and layout.
• Design and layout sprinkler systems using CAD software and coordinate piping with building components.
• Perform field checks to verify design accuracy.
• Coordinate with district contracting teams to understand contracts and delivery needs.
• Mentor others in sprinkler design execution and assist sales in design estimates.
