Job summary
Diamondback Fire Protection LLC is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Designer. With 3+ years in fire protection design and a NICET Level 2 preferred, you will work primarily remotely with occasional travel. Design systems, perform NFPA-based hydraulics, and prepare submittals for AHJs.
Collaborate with project teams, ensure code compliance, and support installation teams with accurate drawings and documentation.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of fire protection design experience.
- NICET Level 2 certification preferred.
- Proficiency with AutoSPRINK, AutoCAD and Revit.
Responsibilities
- Design fire sprinkler systems for various projects using AutoSPRINK or similar software.
- Perform hydraulic calculations per NFPA 13/13R/13D standards.
- Coordinate with PMs, engineers and contractors for submittals.
- Prepare shop drawings, as-builts and design docs for AHJ approval.
- Ensure designs meet codes, NFPA standards and client specs.
- Update drawings based on field conditions and inspector feedback.
- Provide technical support during installation.
