Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Designer to prepare detailed CAD drawings ensuring optimal placement of sprinkler systems. You will interpret NFPA standards and design layouts using AutoCAD-based tools, coordinating with project teams and providing field verifications.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1–5 years of fire sprinkler design experience.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, HydraCAD, Sprinkler Design Software or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Interpret NFPA standards for Automatic Sprinkler System Layout.
• Design and layout sprinkler systems using CAD software; coordinate with building components.
• Perform field checks to verify design accuracy.
• Coordinate design process with district contracting teams and installation schedule.
• Mentor others in sprinkler design and assist sales with design estimates.
