Job summary

Eichleay, Inc. is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to join our team. You will develop fire protection and life safety design packages for industrial projects, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and reporting to the Team Lead.

This role requires independent work on defined scope while coordinating with project teams. The position is fully remote with preference for candidates near Eichleay offices for occasional in-person collaboration.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
5+ years of experience in Fire Protection Engineering, preferably supporting industrial facilities.
Fire Protection PE license required; CFPS/NICET or similar certifications preferred.
Willingness to travel up to 10%.
Excellent communication and coordination across multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities

Develop fire protection and life safety design deliverables for industrial facilities, including studies, calculations, specifications, drawings, and construction packages.
Evaluate fire hazards and develop practical fire protection design solutions that meet applicable codes, standards, client requirements, and project objectives.
Design and review fire suppression systems, perform hydraulic calculations, and evaluate water supply requirements for fire protection systems.
Develop and review fire alarm, detection, notification, and related life safety system requirements in coordination with I&E and other disciplines.
Participate in site walks, design reviews, constructability reviews, and construction support activities.
