Job summary

Pond & Company is seeking a mid-level Fire Protection Engineering Professional to join our growing design team. The role supports design and production of fire protection construction documents under supervision of Senior Engineers, across multiple offices in the Southeast and remotely.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of experience with an EIT license, working towards a PE. Proficiency in MS Office and BIM tools is required; Revit/AutoCAD experience is preferred and trainable.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Internet Apps.
• Revit/AutoCAD/BIM preferred but can be trained.

Responsibilities

• Lead Fire Protection Engineering design on projects (suppression, fire alarm, mass notification) and assist Life Safety design.
• Perform accurate design calculations and produce construction documents.
• Coordinate Fire Protection Engineering with other disciplines to ensure constructability.
• Attend project kickoff and coordination meetings.
• Work independently with minimal supervision and take initiative.
• Perform tasks in accordance with QC procedures.
• Communicate with clients and/or contractors as needed.
• Collaborate effectively in a team environment and grow professionally.
