Job summary

PlanIT Group, LLC is seeking a Fire Protection Design Engineer to lead design content and documentation for fire protection systems. You will work with AHJs and clients to ensure code compliance across multiple sites, including overseas locations, and manage project deliverables to meet deadlines.

The role requires a licensed Fire Protection Engineer with strong knowledge of NFPA codes, AutoCAD proficiency, and experience in plan reviews and field support.

Qualifications

• Fire protection design experience.
• Strong project management and communication skills.
• Familiarity with NFPA codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Attend kick-off meetings and design reviews; oversee fire protection engineering activities.
• Prepare design calculations, specifications, and documentation for fire protection systems.
• Coordinate with AHJs and clients to ensure code compliance and timely delivery.
• Support field personnel and provide remote technical assistance as needed.
• Maintain technical documents and participate in reviews with internal teams.
