Job summary

Sedgwick Claims Management Services Ltd. is seeking an experienced Fire Investigator based in the greater Portland, OR and Seattle, WA area to conduct origin-and-cause investigations for losses and claims in a full-time, remote role.

The ideal candidate has CFEI certification, familiarity with IAAI-CFI, and strong investigative and communication skills. This position emphasizes independence, rigorous analysis, and delivering defensible findings for clients across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• CFEI certification preferred; must obtain IAAI-CFI within 6 months of employment.
• IAAI-CFI certification preferred; CFEI certification required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Accepts assignments from customers for investigation of losses or claims and pursues investigation per assignment needs.
• Determines origin and cause of loss and identifies third-party responsibility when applicable.
• Maintains reporting commitments to clients per EFI procedures and standards.
• Promotes EFI services in insurance and related industries within the assigned territory.
• Interviews witnesses and collects information to develop factual, complete investigation findings.
