EFI Global is seeking an experienced Fire Investigator in the greater Albuquerque, NM area for a full-time remote role. You will support origin-and-cause investigations with a commitment to unbiased, defensible findings and collaboration across disciplines.

IAAI-CFI certification is preferred; NAFI-CFEI is expected within 6 months of employment. Ideal candidates live in the Albuquerque region and value technical rigor, clear communication, and teamwork.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Minimum certification requirement: Certified Fire & Explosion Investigator (CFEI).
• IAAI-CFI certification is preferred; must obtain within 6 months of employment.

Aufgaben

• Accepts assignments and investigates losses or claims per client needs.
• Determines origin and cause and identifies potential third-party responsibility.
• Maintains required reporting to clients per EFI procedures.
• Liaises with insurance industry and law enforcement/fire personnel.
• Interviews witnesses and gathers information for factual conclusions.
• Gathers public records knowledge for thorough investigations.
• Keeps current on privacy laws and public records to ensure legality.
