Job summary

OnHires is seeking a Legal & Compliance Officer to support regulatory, licensing, and banking-related compliance in a high‑risk B2B fintech environment. The role focuses on legal and regulatory support, risk analysis, and multi‑jurisdictional compliance rather than routine checks.

You will work with internal legal, compliance, and risk teams and interact with banks, PSPs, and regulators across UK, Malta, Europe, and other markets. Remote work within Europe time zones is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in legal, compliance, or risk roles within fintech or other regulated financial environments.
• Strong understanding of AML requirements and regulatory risk in high‑risk B2B models.
• Ability to draft, review, and structure legal and compliance documentation.
• Experience with regulatory interaction in at least one jurisdiction (UK, Malta, or comparable).
• Excellent written communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Support banking relationships and bank account openings from a regulatory and compliance perspective.
• Prepare and coordinate responses to AML, risk, and regulatory requests from banks and partners.
• Assist licensing and regulatory processes across multiple jurisdictions, including the UK and Malta.
• Draft, review, and maintain regulatory documentation for licensing and banking needs.
• Analyze regulatory risk implications across jurisdictions and business models.
• Engage with internal teams and regulators on risk and compliance matters.
