Job summary

Humana is seeking a Technical FinOps Analyst to join its cloud finance team. You will collaborate with engineering, operations, and finance to make cloud spending transparent, measurable, and optimized, helping the company spend wisely across AWS, Azure, and GCP.

This remote role requires strong scripting, financial modeling, and storytelling with data. You will build cost allocation, implement chargebacks, and support budgeting and forecasting, delivering dashboards for leadership.

Qualifications

• Technical: Cloud architecture across AWS, Azure, and GCP; cost visibility focus.
• Analytical: financial modeling, data analysis, SQL, and statistics.
• Soft: cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder communication.
• Education: bachelor’s degree in CS/IS/finance/accounting.
• Certifications: FinOps Practitioner, AWS Solutions Architect, Azure AZ-104, or GCPE Developer.

Responsibilities

• Usage analysis: detect anomalies and under/over-utilized resources.
• Technical recommendations: translate RI strategies, spot pricing into savings.
• Cost visibility & allocation: track cloud spend by team, project, or service.
• Chargeback/showback: implement programs assigning costs to units.
• Budgeting & forecasting: set and monitor budgets with finance.
• Reporting & dashboards: create leadership dashboards on spend and savings.
