Job summary

Humana seeks a Technical FinOps Analyst at the intersection of cloud engineering and finance to make technology spending transparent, measurable, and optimized. You will work with engineering, operations, and finance to ensure cloud resources are used efficiently and cost-effectively.

Responsibilities include cost visibility, budgeting, and reporting, with collaboration across teams to implement IT cost-saving measures and scale cost-management practices company-wide.

Qualifications

• Cloud architecture, cost management, and scripting experience.
• Financial modeling and data analysis skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IS/Finance/Accounting.

Responsibilities

• Identify usage anomalies, over-provisioning, and underutilized resources to recommend right-sizing or decommissioning.
• Translate reserved instance strategies, spot pricing, and infrastructure changes into cost-saving actions.
• Build and maintain cost allocation frameworks to track cloud spend by team, project, or service.
• Implement chargeback/showback programs to assign cloud costs to business units or projects.
• Collaborate with finance to set and monitor cloud budgets and forecast spend based on usage trends.
• Create dashboards and reports for leadership to visualize spend, savings, and efficiency metrics.
