Pathward, N.A. is seeking a Financial Crimes Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst II to join our hybrid, remote-office team.

The role covers 2LoD activities in BSA/AML, Sanctions and Fraud, ensuring QA reviews align with regulatory expectations and internal standards. You will execute QA reviews of 2LoD casework, document findings with risk-based severity, manage corrective actions, and provide independent challenge.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of experience in Financial Crimes (AML, Sanctions, Fraud).
• 2LoD Compliance / Financial Crimes oversight, or Quality Assurance / Testing of Financial Crimes functions.
• Strong knowledge of BSA/AML and sanctions regulatory expectations.
• Experience reviewing complex financial crime cases and providing oversight or challenge.
• Familiar with 2LoD roles and governance within a three lines of defense model.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed QA reviews of 2LoD casework, memos, and decisions to evaluate accuracy and completeness.
• Assess alignment with internal standards and regulatory expectations.
• Evaluate quality of 2LoD oversight and escalation processes.
• Independently assess complex matters and ensure decisions are well-supported and documented.
• Provide subject matter guidance on QA standards, regulatory expectations, and review methodology.
• Document QA findings with gaps, root causes, and remediation impact; assign severity ratings.
• Engage stakeholders to resolve findings and validate corrective action effectiveness.
• Provide independent challenge within the 2LoD function and support regulatory exams.
