AAA Sahbudak Property LLC is seeking a Financial Controller to own the accounting function and the controls around owners' money, including trust and escrow reconciliations. You will lead the accounting team, own the close, and ensure financial statements are accurate before use in decision making.

The role involves building and documenting processes, maintaining multi-entity accounting, and partnering with the CFO on budgeting and audits.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, incl. 3+ years as Controller or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience with trust/escrow accounting and fiduciary reconciliations.
• Proven ability to design internal controls and segregation of duties.
• Experience supervising staff and coordinating audits.
• Advanced Excel and familiarity with QuickBooks or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close for all entities.
• Manage trust and escrow compliance, including reconciliations.
• Design and enforce internal controls across the accounting team.
• Prepare and review the financial statement package with accuracy.
• Lead and develop the accounting team and review work before reporting.
• Oversee owner reporting integrity and disbursement controls.
• Partner with CFO on budgeting, forecasting, cash management, pricing analysis.
• Manage year-end audit and tax prep; liaise with CPA.
• Maintain chart of accounts and accounting policies as portfolio grows.
• Identify financial and compliance risks early with recommendations.
