Job summary

Numero is seeking an experienced Finance Controller to own month-end close, financial reporting, forecasting, billing, and compliance. The role blends rigorous accounting with AI-driven finance workflows, requiring strong attention to detail, and clear communication.

This fully remote opportunity targets candidates in Southern California willing to travel 1–2 times yearly for retreats. You will manage AR, cash reconciliations, tax filings, and GAAP compliance with external advisors, while

Qualifications

• 4+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including month-end close ownership.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required.
• Solid knowledge of US GAAP.
• General fluency with AI tools and AI-driven workflows in finance.

Responsibilities

• Own Month-End Close, journal entries, accruals, prepaids and reconciliations.
• Lead FP&A, revenue forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
• Oversee Billing, AR & cash collections; reconcile Stripe and QB.
• Oversee Payroll, tax filings, and GAAP compliance with advisors.
• Run AI workflows powering AR dunning, MRR rollforward, reconciliations, and billing analyses.
• Build/improve AI-driven automations and maintain judgment layer.
