Job summary

Fairview Health Services in Minnesota seeks a Financial Clearance Representative (FCR) to join the rehab services team. The FCR will verify insurance/benefits, determine benefit levels for outpatient therapy, and manage prior authorizations and denials in collaboration with revenue cycle and clinical staff.

The role requires 1 year of experience in insurance verification or related areas, and proficiency with electronic health records.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in insurance verification/eligibility, financial securing or related areas.
• Experience with electronic health record software.

Responsibilities

• Practice excellent telephone etiquette and active listening skills.
• Identify insurances for all new patients requiring information/notification for new, continuing, and observation patients.
• Document and track all communication with insurers, clinic staff, and patients.
• Document each step in acquiring benefits, prior authorization, or confirmation of compensability.
