Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED; business concentration preferred.
• 4+ years in a business office setting, hospital revenue cycle preferred.
• Prior experience in a healthcare environment required.
• Familiarity with hospital computer systems and third-party collections is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient information including demographics, financial and insurance data.
• Estimate patient financial liability (copays, deductibles, coinsurances, deposits).
• Receive and process patient payments and ensure pre-certification/referral is in place.
• Identify financial gaps and route to Financial Counselors or Business Office as needed.
• Reschedule appointments when required due to financial circumstances.
• Enter clear notes on financial clearance status and follow policy guidelines.
