Job summary

Sustainable Fisheries Partnership (SFP) is seeking a meticulous Financial Analyst to safeguard the financial health of our global NGO. You will manage day-to-day accounting, strengthen processes, and provide timely financial insights to support decision-making.

You’ll join a mission-driven, international team, handling budgeting, grants, labor planning, and reporting across programs, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and compliance in a fully remote work environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience in International NGO/nonprofit environments preferred
• ERP system experience (Unanet, Oracle, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, SAP) preferred
• Grant management and financial reporting experience
• Budgeting and forecasting processes
• Donor compliance requirements management and strong Excel/Power BI skills

Responsibilities

• Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes
• Prepare financial models, budget-to-actual analyses, and variance explanations
• Analyze financial performance and provide management recommendations
• Prepare financial reports, dashboards, and ad hoc analyses
• Maintain grant budgets, tracking schedules and financial reporting calendars
• Monitor grant expenditures for compliance with donor requirements
• Coordinate labor allocations, indirect cost calculations and grants-related analyses
• Maintain and validate financial data within ERP and reporting systems
• Generate standard and custom financial reports and schedules
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities and internal controls
