Job summary

Bay Business Group is a growing, people-focused Falls Church, VA accounting firm now offering a REMOTE financial accountant role. You will manage day-to-day bookkeeping for multiple clients, prepare financial statements, reconcile accounts, and support payroll and tax compliance.

We provide a flexible schedule, professional development, and excellent benefits. Base compensation is 65K to 75K, with an incentive that can raise total compensation to 80K+ within 6–12 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 1–2 years of accounting and bookkeeping experience.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
• Experience managing multiple clients.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Availability to work during normal business hours.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping for multiple clients.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Process payroll and ensure tax compliance.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Assist with client projects and year-end close as needed.
