Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a diligent Financial Accountant to join a fast-growing e-commerce client on a fully remote team. You will manage financial reporting, general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end closes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS and company policies.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, 4+ years of experience, proficiency in QuickBooks or Xero and advanced Excel, with strong communication for remote collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA, CA(SA) advantageous).
• Minimum of 4 years experience in financial accounting.
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero) and advanced Excel.
• Strong understanding of IFRS or relevant accounting standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage the general ledger and ensure accurate recording of transactions.
• Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing information.
• Process journal entries and ensure data accuracy.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information.
