Job summary

Porch Group is seeking a Finance Manager, Insurance to lead capital planning and risk analysis for its insurance business. This remote US-based role partners with the Insurance FP&A team to drive budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives while interfacing with auditors and external partners.

The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of reinsurance structures, US GAAP/STAT reporting, and hands-on experience with AI tools to streamline analyses and reporting for leadership.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of reinsurance and its impact on surplus, RBC, and risk management.
• Capital modeling and advanced Excel skills.
• Knowledge of US STAT and GAAP reporting standards.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools for analysis, modeling, or process automation.

Responsibilities

• Analyze the company's capital structure and provide recommendations to improve capital efficiency and financial stability.
• Support Balance Sheet forecasting and capital evaluation models for funding opportunities.
• Monitor rating agency and regulatory metrics including surplus and RBC.
• Support the insurance budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Collaborate with Premium, Losses, Corporate Finance, and Actuarial teams to align assumptions.
