Job summary

University of Texas at Austin seeks a Finance Data Integrity Analyst to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data and support improvements to the chart of accounts and internal controls.

The role collaborates with business process owners and campus leadership to clean data, track quality issues, and advance accounting processes, reporting to the Financial and Administrative Services department.

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience leading automation projects.
• Experience in analyzing large quantities of data and documenting business requirements.
• Experience with data analytic and reporting programs (Power BI, Cognos, Tableau) and/or SQL.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform data analysis on financial chart of accounts to ensure accuracy.
• Identify, document, and track finance data quality issues.
• Coordinate with owners to clean existing data and upload new data.
• Assist with internal controls to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Periodically review accounting transactions for adherence to policies.
• Assist with accounting clean-up by removing redundant data attributes.
• Document the chart of accounts and related processes.
• Contribute insights to enhance data quality.
