Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin seeks a Finance Data Integrity Analyst to join the Financial and Administrative Services team. The role focuses on ensuring accuracy, integrity, and quality of financial data, maintaining the chart of accounts, and supporting internal controls.

The Finance Data Integrity Analyst will work with campus leadership to clean data, track quality issues, and contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in accuracy, attention to detail, critical thinking and problem solving.
• Experience leading automation projects.
• Experience analyzing large data sets and documenting requirements, workflows, rules and processes.
• Proficiency with data analytic and reporting tools (Power BI, Cognos, Tableau) and SQL.
• Strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform data analysis on financial chart of accounts data to ensure accuracy.
• Identify, document, and track finance data quality issues.
• Coordinate with business owners, subject matter experts, and campus representatives to clean existing data and upload new data.
• Assist with the implementation of internal controls to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Periodic reviews of accounting transactions to ensure accuracy and adherence to UT Accounting policies.
• Assist with accounting clean-up efforts by identifying data attributes that are redundant or no longer needed.
• Assist with documentation of the accounting chart of accounts and related business processes.
• Contribute insights and recommendations to enhance data quality.
