Advocate Health is seeking a Finance/Accounting internship for the summer session. The selected student will work remotely from Indiana and collaborate with the People & Culture Workforce Development team to support financial analysis and reporting.

The role emphasizes Excel-driven automation, data extraction, and contribution to cost accounting, budgeting, and revenue cycle activities while gaining exposure to hospital finance processes.

Qualificações

• Enrollment as an undergraduate in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics or related field.
• Minimum GPA 2.5.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good multitasking and prioritization abilities.
• Proficiency with Excel and data analysis concepts.

Responsabilidades

• Use Excel to automate processes and reduce manual work.
• Assist in reviewing and investigating discrepancies in charges and adjust as needed.
• Prepare financial and statistical analyses and extract data for trend analysis.
• Contribute to cost accounting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
• Support budgeting, finance, and revenue cycle activities as needed.
• Follow government and managed care payment rules and procedures.
