Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Management or related field with junior or senior standing.
• GPA of at least 2.5.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to finish tasks.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.
• Effective multitasking and prioritization skills.
• Proficiency with Excel and general computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Use Excel spreadsheets to develop automated processes to minimize manual work.
• Review and analyze discrepancies in charges; implement necessary changes for professional and hospital charges.
• Prepare financial and statistical analyses; extract and transform data for trend calculations and performance measures.
• Develop and maintain cost accounting standards and perform variance analyses.
• Develop and maintain procedural pricing using costing methods and market data.
• Prepare, communicate and monitor operating and capital budgets.
• Support budgeting, finance, cost accounting and reporting areas.
• Apply government program and managed care payment mechanisms to financial activities.
• Assist in charge reconciliation by reviewing patient charges in billing systems.
• Support revenue cycle projects such as cash posting, insurance follow-up, coding documentation queues.
• Track and update reports as necessary.
• Handle administrative duties and assist support staff with meetings.
• Assist in program/process/application development as needed.
• Research internal reporting questions to ensure accurate financial recording.
