Job summary

UFW Foundation is seeking a Finance Assistant to support the Chief Financial Officer and Grants and Fiscal Compliance team in a fully remote role. You will handle deposits, payments, and receipts, while maintaining confidentiality and collaborating with staff across programs.

The ideal candidate will have accounting training, strong Excel skills, and experience with grant accounting systems, enabling accurate financial reporting and timely analysis in a dynamic nonprofit environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of accounting education.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and data analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with attention to confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Support CFO with preparation of financial materials and reports.
• Maintain grant information in accounting systems (Concur, Acumatica, Workday).
• Reconcile monthly payments and fees and ensure accuracy.
• Prepare spreadsheets, schedules, and analysis including balance sheets and reconciliations.
• Support AP/AR duties as needed.
