Job summary

Daybreak Health is seeking a Finance Analyst to join our fully remote team in the United States. You’ll own the month-end close, build and maintain financial models, and partner with leadership to forecast, budget, and optimize contract economics across school district contracts and insurance reimbursement.

The role blends accounting rigor with FP&A modeling, requiring 2–4 years of experience, advanced Excel, and experience with a modern general ledger system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with substantial accounting coursework.
• 2–4 years of accounting or finance experience with month-end close exposure.
• Demonstrated financial modeling experience with operating/budget/forecast models.
• Strong US GAAP and accrual accounting knowledge.
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills; auditable models.
• Experience with a modern GL system (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar).
• Ability to communicate results clearly with non-finance stakeholders.
• Remote working ability with self-organization.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain financial models and forecasts.
• Own the monthly close process end to end and ensure accurate reporting.
• Perform revenue recognition and AR tracking tasks as needed.
• Analyze unit economics and variance analysis; partner with leaders across functions.
• Support audits, tax filings, and compliance efforts.
• Provide business partnering insights to drive growth and efficiency.
