Job summary

PALFINGER is hiring two experienced remote technicians based in Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN. You will diagnose and repair complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on customer sites, perform preventive maintenance, and handle warranty work in the field.

Responsibilities include emergency service, meticulous documentation, and adherence to safety regulations. Strong diagnostic skills, welding ability, and a valid CDL (or willingness to obtain) are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years mechanical experience or training in heavy equipment.
• Experience with articulating cranes and forklifts preferred.
• Valid CDL or willingness to obtain within 60 days.
• Strong diagnostic, welding, and field repair skills.
• English proficiency required (read/write/speak).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on customer sites.
• Perform quarterly preventive maintenance, Annual DOT inspections, and warranty work.
• Respond to emergency/unscheduled service needs during and outside normal hours.
• Document estimates, authorizations, parts orders/records, labor tracking, and inventory logs.
• Adhere to state and federal safety regulations; maintain a clean vehicle, equipment, and workspace.
