Job summary

PALFINGER is seeking an experienced PM Field Service Mechanic to travel to customer locations in the Dallas area and beyond, performing preventive maintenance, annual inspections, and warranty service on forklifts.

You will troubleshoot on-site, document work orders and parts used, comply with safety regulations, and communicate issues to the shop and customers. Lifting tools supplied; must be able to lift 75 lbs and work in varying conditions.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 3 years mechanical experience or training with emphasis on preventative maintenance on forklifts.
• Proficient with mechanics and hydraulic systems.
• Basic computer skills with knowledge of Windows applications.
• Must speak, read and write English.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Supply own hand tools; Palfinger proprietary tools provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency/unscheduled troubleshooting and repairs during working and non-working hours.
• Able to communicate mechanical issues and needed repairs to shop manager.
• Responsible for service documentation in a timely manner that consists of: estimates, work order authorization, ordering and recording parts, labor, and inventory documentation.
• Comply with state and federal safety regulations.
• Maintain safe, clean and orderly work areas.

PALFINGER is searching for an experienced PM Field Service Mechanic to work in the field to service Palfinger's customer's forklifts at various customer locations. This is a remote position in Dallas, TX. This position reports to the Regional Field Service Manager.

Your Responsibilities

• Supply own hand tools, Palfinger proprietary tools will be provided.
