Job summary

Watts Water Technologies is seeking a remote Field Service Specialist to provide critical technical support for commercial boilers, visit sites for diagnostics and commissioning, and train representatives and technicians. This role reports to the Field Service Manager and involves extensive travel.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of field experience in heating/domestic hot water, knowledge of electrical controls, steam and gas-fired equipment, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of field experience in commercial heating/domestic hot water.
• Knowledge of electrical/electronic controls and hardware.
• Knowledge of steam and gas-fired equipment.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Self-starter with ownership mindset.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
• Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices.
• Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks and required pre-employment testing.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for commercial boilers, providing technical support to customers, reps, and service technicians regarding performance and troubleshooting.
• Visit customer sites to diagnose and resolve product issues, including startup, tuning, and commissioning of linkage- and servo-controlled boilers.
• Support ongoing technical training and delivery of training programs for reps and technicians.
• Develop, maintain, and update technical procedures, service bulletins, and maintenance programs.
• Maintain spare parts inventories and recommended spare parts kits.
• Collaborate with Engineering to identify and implement new troubleshooting procedures and service requirements.
• Handle other projects and duties as assigned by Field Service Manager or management.
