Job summary

Altera seeks a Field Support Technologist to deliver on-site technical support for semiconductor products and solutions. You will assist with design conversions, RTL designs, simulations, benchmarking, and POC creation, focusing on AI, data center, and networking verticals.

You will diagnose hardware and software issues at customer sites, provide technical guidance and training, and collaborate with engineering, sales, and support teams to escalate and resolve complex problems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in a field support, applications engineering, or customer-facing technical role within the semiconductor industry.
• Strong understanding of FPGA architecture, design flows, and development tools (e.g., Quartus Prime).
• Strong design, RTL, and software background and experiences.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support to customers, ensuring optimal performance and resolution of complex issues related to Altera products.
• Assist with design conversions, simulations, system architecture proposals, RTL designs, benchmarking, and POC development.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software issues at customer sites; provide training on product usage and best practices.
• Collaborate with internal engineering, sales, and support teams to escalate and drive design wins.
