Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a remote field service technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment at customer locations in the US.

You will perform on-site preventive maintenance, inspections, call-out services, and commissioning on turbomachinery and package systems while supporting a local customer base. The role requires the ability to diagnose with test equipment, perform routine installations under supervision, and maintain safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience required.
• Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques.
• Ability to meet or exceed customer expectations and provide excellent service.

Responsibilities

• Use test equipment to diagnose malfunctions and refer to schematics with guidance.
• Under supervision, use hand tools to analyze, repair or replace faulty parts.
• Observe common causes of trouble and perform cleaning and lubrication with supervision.
• Under supervision, perform routine installations and adjustments within normal procedures.
