Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a remote field service professional to install, maintain and troubleshoot turbomachinery and package systems at customer sites.

The role supports customers in Minnesota, Iowa or Missouri with on-site preventive maintenance, call-out services and commissioning activities. The candidate will diagnose faults with test equipment, refer to schematics, and work with experienced field service staff to ensure safe, reliable operation.

Qualifications

• Mechanical maintenance knowledge for power plant equipment.

• Troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose malfunctions using test equipment and schematics under guidance.
• Use hand tools, gauges and instruments to repair or replace parts under supervision.
• Observe common causes of trouble and perform cleaning and lubrication with supervisor guidance.
• Perform routine installations and adjustments within normal procedures under supervision.
