Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a field service professional to install, maintain and troubleshoot equipment at customer sites, using test equipment and schematics.

This position covers on-site preventive maintenance, inspections, call-out services, and commissioning activities on turbomachinery and package systems. The role is remote, but qualified applicants will reside in Maryland, Ohio, Pennsylvania or West Virginia to support the local customer base, with use of standard tools and guidance from

Qualifications

• Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques.
• Preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical parts in power plants.
• Mechanical equipment knowledge in oil and gas.
• Knowledge of safety procedures for oil and gas.
• Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC).
• Able to obtain a TWIC credential.

Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains and troubleshoots equipment at the customer location using tools, parts and diagrams.
• On-site preventive maintenance and inspection service work, call-out services and commissioning activities on turbomachinery and package systems.
• Use test equipment and schematics to diagnose malfunctions with guidance from experienced personnel.
• Perform routine installations and adjustments to equipment as appropriate within normal procedures.
