Job summary

SteelcoBelimed is seeking a Field Service Technician to travel to hospital sites for installation, service and maintenance of sterilization equipment. You will diagnose malfunctions, calibrate instrumentation and train customers on proper operation, with travel encompassing the Olympia/Tacoma region and occasional overnights during training.

We provide two weeks of classroom training, 90 days of OJT, and a final advanced course. A boilers license requirement will be pursued after hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience with industrial electrical single and 3-phase wiring and controls.
• Experience troubleshooting water and pneumatic process controls.
• Experience using diagnostic test equipment, volt-ohm meters, amp probes and calibration equipment.
• Ability to read P&ID and electrical schematics.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work nights/weekends as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions using test instruments.
• Measure and adjust digital and analog instrumentation using calibration equipment.
• Install, modify and repair SteelcoBelimed and/or 3rd party equipment.
• Manage customer base effectively; balancing PM workload with daily repairs.
• Demonstrate correct usage and application of equipment to customers.
• Conduct product in-service trainings as required.
• Complete service reports, timesheets, expense reports and parts lists promptly.
• Maintain an organized work vehicle with tools, manuals and parts.
• Monitor customer chemical orders, contract sales and renewals.
• Promote and maintain good customer relations with professionalism and integrity.
