Job summary

Atlas Copco North America LLC is seeking a Service Technician to service customers in the Fremont area. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and repair air compressors and related equipment, and set up compressor systems while staying customer-focused.

You will train at the Air Academy, maintain safety standards, and participate in a rotating on-call schedule with travel to customer locations, including potential overnight trips.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of technical experience in mechanical, maintenance, or electrical fields.
• Experience with maintenance, overhaul, and repair of industrial equipment (electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics) preferred; HVAC a plus.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong customer focus and ownership of customer needs.
• Proficient with computers to complete work orders and parts orders.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive service and troubleshoot/repair air compressors, air dryers, drains, controllers, and low pressure blowers.
• Set, install, and pipe compressor systems.
• Learn advanced areas like VSDs, refrigeration, industrial networks, remote monitoring, and air audits.
• Pressure wash and clean the customer equipment pad and surroundings.
• Communicate options for repairs/upgrades with customers and the Service Manager.
• Complete all service documentation (reports, forms, warranty, oil samples, parts returns).
• Attend training at Air Academy and train with Senior Technicians.
• Promote safety procedures and proper PPE usage.
• Provide high level customer service and address customer needs.
• Participate in rotating 24/7/365 on-call with travel to customer sites, including overnight travel.
• Subject to random drug testing.
