Job summary

LECO is seeking a Field Service Engineer for the Midwest region, primarily Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky, with remote work and frequent travel. You will service analytical and metallographic instrumentation, install new equipment, and train customers at client sites.

The role requires self-motivation, strong communication, and adherence to safety protocols. Travel up to four overnights weekly is expected; a valid driver's license and US work authorization are required.

Qualifications

Self-motivated with the ability to work remotely with limited supervision.
Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
Adhere to customer site and safety requirements in a professional manner.
Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
Attend LECO training in St. Joseph, MI for 3–5 months.
Travel daily with up to four overnight stays per week (Mon–Fri).
Pass background check and substance screenings.
Must be authorized to work in the US without restriction.

Responsibilities

Provide preventive/general maintenance, breakdown repair and troubleshooting on analytical instruments.
Perform new instrumentation installations and updates/kit installations.
Provide training on theory, operation, software and maintenance practices.
Maintain accurate inventory, expense reports and vehicle logs.
