Job summary

LECO Corporation seeks an Analytical Instrumentation Field Service Specialist for the Western Region. The role is remote, full-time, with regular regional travel across Colorado, Wyoming, and New Mexico. You will install instruments, perform preventive maintenance, and train end users while maintaining thorough service records.

The position emphasizes safety, professional communication, and hands-on technical expertise in analytical and metallographic systems.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or trade school required.
• Formal military technical training is a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with familiarity in AC/DC electronics.

Responsibilities

• Execute preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and complete repairs on analytical and metallography systems.
• Install new instruments and apply hardware/software upgrade kits.
• Deliver end-user training on theory, operation, software workflows, and care.
• Keep precise records: parts inventory, expenses, service documentation, and vehicle logs.
