Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Field Service Engineer-II to support, integrate, and optimize precision fastening tools and connected manufacturing solutions at customer sites in the US and Canada, with remote options. You will act as a technical liaison between customers, service teams, and engineering to ensure reliable operation and steady performance.

The engineer will install, commission, troubleshoot, and provide support for fastening systems, MES integration, and related automation.

Qualifications

5+ years of MES experience communicating with PFOP
5+ years of Digital I/O configuration and troubleshooting
5+ years of Fieldbus communications with Profinet or EthernetIP
5+ years of Software installation and validation
5+ years of configuring Wi‑Fi devices & troubleshooting

Responsibilities

Travel to customer facilities to install, commission, maintain, and troubleshoot precision fastening systems.
Provide onsite and remote technical support for customers, distributors, and internal teams.
Diagnose and resolve software, hardware, networking, and process issues in production environments.
Conduct equipment assessments and recommend actions to improve uptime.
Deliver customer training on product operation, software functionality, troubleshooting, and best practices.
Support production launches and successful deployment of connected manufacturing solutions.
