Job summary

HITACHI ENERGY USA INC is seeking a Field Service Engineer for a 100% remote, field-based role in the United States. You will support installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and modernization of high-voltage circuit breakers and related equipment up to 800kV across customer sites.

Travel 80% nationwide, with comprehensive training, benefits, and overtime eligibility. Strong technical communication and English fluency are essential, along with an engineering degree.

Qualifications

Minimum of an Associate degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering strongly preferred.
Experience with high‑voltage equipment or substations is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform commissioning, troubleshooting, repair and modification of High Voltage equipment up to 800kV.
Travel to customer sites across the United States and document findings.
Generate reports and communicate updates to customers and teams.
