Job summary

Ipsen International Inc. in Fort Wayne, IN, is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, troubleshoot and calibrate heat treatment equipment at customer sites across Central IN, OH, and Western MI.

This role involves up to 90% travel, including extended trainings away from home; a strong mechanical/electrical aptitude and ability to work with customers is essential.

Training lasting 6–12 months may be required; day-one benefits and tuition reimbursement are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of related industrial equipment operation/maintenance, or 4+ years with equivalent training.
• Experience with calibration, pyrometry, vacuum, thermal and TUS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Installs and starts up equipment at customer sites per sales order or field work instruction.
• Reviews scope of supply and budget and works within allocated parameters.
• Performs on-site service including installation, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of heat treatment equipment.
• Reviews equipment reports and documentation to aid troubleshooting.
• Coordinates problem solving with central support and expeditiously complete repairs.
• Plans and schedules service jobs with Regional Service Manager.
• Documents service work and records warranty claims.
• Trains customers on equipment operation and safety as needed.
