Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service BESS and inverter systems on client sites across the United States. The role is remote with up to 85% travel, requiring hands-on commissioning, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of power conversion equipment.

You will read schematics, support system energization, and work closely with customers, EPCs, and engineering teams to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Experience in field service, commissioning, or power electronics.
• Hands-on with BESS, inverters, or PCS.
• Strong AC/DC electrical troubleshooting and schematic reading.

Responsibilities

• Commission, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair BESS, inverters, and PCS.
• Support system startup, energization, testing, and controls integration.
• Diagnose faults across AC/DC systems, power electronics, and electrical equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to maximize reliability.
• Troubleshoot with schematics, wiring diagrams, system data, fault codes, and test equipment.
• Collaborate with customers, EPCs, and engineering teams to resolve issues.
